Without regular aeration the soil will compact , squeezing out the all important oxygen that provides space for new root growth and pores to allow fast and easy drainage , and to get water and fertiliser to where it is needed .....

Aeration is highly cost effective . It encourages natural growth with minimal need for fertiliser. The improved drainage vastly reduces moss growth making maintenance easier saving hard cash on moss control and allowing scarifers to remove moss easier from the non compacted surface soil .

Water uptake to the root system , and resistence to prolonged wet or dry weather is improved .
A more desirable playing surface is achieved , helping to prevent disease and dry patch.
